Final Presentations
Using the Japanese language skills you have acquired so far, present on one aspect of Japanese culture that you find particularly interesting in groups of 2~3. You will be given 6 minutes for your presentation. Your topic and group must be approved by the beginning of Week 11. Please define unfamiliar terms used from outside of class. Ideas for topics include current events, tea ceremony/ikebana, anime/manga, pop culture, famous people, holidays, etc. Creativity is encouraged and can greatly enhance your presentation.
This assignment is for students to explore an area of Japanese culture that students find appealing and to share their findings with the larger class. Students will incorporate and build on basic grammar and vocabulary skills that they have learned throughout the semester. This will allow students to gain a more comprehensive understanding of Japan through exposure to its cultural aspects, while practicing and becoming more comfortable with the oral production of the Japanese language. The presentations will take place on Week 15.
